There’s something charming about a local soccer match. The stands are somewhat full. Everyone knows a good amount of everyone else. The sun is shining. Everyone’s hanging out — a game of soccer might break out sooner rather than later. And that’s no indictment to the quality of the teams in this next video. It just seems like they are participating in a very laid back game. Why do I think that, you ask? Well, considering at one point the soccer ball breaks a window, and no one, not even the couple who owns the window, makes a fuss about it, “laid back” is nothing if not appropriate.
I mean, the game restarts as if nothing had ever happened. The old couple gets up (adorably, I might add) and peers through the window as if to say, “Well, we can’t believe it, and we’re not sure what we’re gonna do about it.” It’s all so quaint it should be part of the introductory sequence to Air Bud: Ciao d’Italia!.
As of yet we don’t know where this game took place. The writing on the wall behind the net is in Spanish, I think. So that narrows it down to a full quarter of the world.
If you want to see more soccer related feats of destruction a la a soccer ball breaking a window. We’ve got you covered.
Hip-hop superstar Drake once tried to kick a soccer ball, too. It didn’t end well for him, either. It’s OK, though, he’s rich.
This guy also tried to play with a child’s soccer ball, but instead he just injured himself and popped the soccer ball in one motion. Trust us, that’s exactly what happens.
And finally we rounded up the best soccer fails of 2014. There’s some real classics in here, like a guy head butting through a pane of plexiglass on the sidelines.
