American Joe Gyau Makes Borussia Dortmund Debut

Coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute of a match between a mediocre Bundesliga team and a terrible Bundesliga team probably doesn’t seem like it would be that exciting.

Joe Gyau would probably disagree with you.

Gyau made his debut for Borussia Dortmund, and his third Bundesliga appearance (he appeared twice last season for Hoffenheim) in Borussia’s 2-2 tie versus Stuttgart Wednesday.

Previously this month, Gyau was capped for the first time by the U.S. Men’s National Team against the Czech Republic.

Gyau has mostly played for Borussia’s U-23 team, but has been receiving more attention from the first team lately.

For good reason. Gyau is going to be really good. He’s fast and skilled and is definitely going to be a factor for the USMNT going forward. Take a look at his highlights.
