5 MLS Players Who Could Make It In The Premier League

The difference in quality between the Premier League and Major League Soccer is there for all to see. There is an extreme gulf in the type of players associated with both divisions, but that doesn't mean there aren't some promising stars playing in America that would be able to transition over to England.

Sometimes all you need is a chance to be noticed, and the MLS is packed full of talent that all deserve the chance to show their quality in front of a larger audience. In particular, these are five of the best.

Sebastian Giovinco - Toronto FC

This guy has proved his worth week in and week out for Toronto, and not many people can debate his quality. Whether it's goals or assists, Giovinco has consistently performed at the top level in the MLS and deserves a chance to ply his trade in the Premier League before his career his over. The fact he wasn't nominated for the MVP this season is baffling.

Bradley Wright-Phillips - New York Red Bulls

For a man who struggled so much during his first tenure in English football, Bradley Wright-Phillips seems to have found his home over in America. He is one of the greatest strikers the league has ever seen, and the Englishman deserves another chance to prove that he has what it takes to succeed back in his homeland.

Matt Hedges - FC Dallas

Matt Hedges continues to be as solid as a rock for FC Dallas, and it seems as if the Rochester-born defender will never waiver from his fantastic form. Regardless of how the team is doing, Hedges has earned the right to see what would happen if he were to venture away from the MLS. There are better leagues out there, and the American is good enough for them.

Benny Feilhaber - Sporting Kansas City

It's kind of baffling that this hasn't happened yet for Benny Feilhaber. The midfielder has long since been tipped with a move abroad and he continues to thrive as one of the strongest players in this league. There are no limitations to what he can do in America, but it remains to be seen whether or not he'll get the chance to do the same thing in England.

Jack Harrison - New York City FC

It just had to be the first overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft, and he deserves it. Young Jack Harrison is full of promise and overwhelming talent, which ironically originates from time spent with Manchester United and Liverpool. If that isn't an indication of his future potential, then nothing is. Remember the name.
