When 11-year-old Lexi Walker took to the field at Rio Tinto stadium in 2013, home to Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake, she was not the viral singing sensation she is today. This was before she covered Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" from the hit Disney movie Frozen. That video alone, released in 2014, has racked up over 75 million views on YouTube. When Lexi Walker sings the national anthem at the Real Salt Lake match in the video below, she looks much younger – very much the 11-year-old she was at the time, surrounded by a sea of fans and 20-something, serious-looking professional soccer players.
She brushes her hair back from the side of her face, a nervous gesture. As soon as she opens her mouth to sing, however, ascending into her first high note, any timidity about Lexi Walker disappears and we see a singer destined for great things whose massive voice is even more striking given her youth.

They should change the title of this video from "Lexi Walker sings the national anthem" to "Lexi Walker owns a crowd of 20,000 screaming fans."
Since this video, Lexi Walker has gone on to sign as a SONY recording artist, to open shows for stars like Clint Black and Idina Menzel (of aforementioned "Let It Go" fame), and to appear at pretigious venues like the Beijing International Film Festival, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Radio City Music Hall.
