Forget Kepa's Triple Save, Watch German Goalkeeper Save Five Penalties In One Game

The Great Wall of China is thought to be an impenetrable force and the greatest defense’s in mankind’s history. That is, until German goalkeeper Daniel Batz entered the scene.

Watch as the goalkeeper for fourth-tier Saarbrücken led his side to the DFB-Pokal semifinals with five penalty saves against top-flight Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Batz’s value most likely increased several million with each penalty save. He absolutely had a better performance than Chelsea’s most expensive goalkeeper in the world, Kepa Arrizabalaga, who had some quality saves of his own in a 2-0 victory against Liverpool.

Saarbrücken and it’s God-like goalkeeper made history as the first fourth-tier side to advance to a DFB-Pokal semifinal. The massive underdogs are joined by reigning Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich and will be join by the winners of Bayer Leverkusen vs. Union Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Werder Bremen.

The incredible five penalty saves from Batz can’t be understated. The last goalkeeper to put on a performance like that was the legend of Scott Sterling.
