Bielsa No Puede Con Mourinho Ni Con El Big Six De La Premier League

“Hay muchos poetas en el fútbol, pero los poetas no ganan muchos títulos.” La frase la dijo Jose Mourinho luego de obtener la Europa League en 2017 junto a Manchester United, derrotando al Ajax. Hace unos días revivió en la previa del Tottenham y el Leeds United, del duelo Mourinho versus Marcelo Bielsa, y tras el triunfo de los Spurs por 3-0 tiene a los simpatizantes de The Special One en éxtasis. 

Tottenham ni se despeinó a la hora de desactivar el juego de presión de Bielsa y su pandilla. Tras un comienzo más o menos parejo, de hecho fue el mismo Leeds United el que entregó la llave del partido: una mala salida del arquero Illan Meslier terminó con Ezgjan Alioski cometiendo penal sobre Steven Bergwijn. Harry Kane lo cambió por gol.

El 1-0 relajó al Tottenham que, horas antes, vivía una crisis de relaciones públicas. Todo, al descubrirse que tres jugadores del plantel (los argentinos Giovanni Lo Celso y Erik Lamela, además del español Sergio Reguilón) habían burlado los protocolos de sanidad de Covid-19 para asistir a una fiesta de Navidad.

Ninguno de ellos, por cierto, jugó ante Leeds United.

A los 43 minutos, justo antes del descanso, una pérdida de balón en el mediocampo haría las cosas aún más fáciles para Tottenham. Kane conectó con Son Heung-min y el surcoreano anotó el 2-0. Fue su gol 100 con el equipo londinense.

El marcador lo cerraría a los 50 minutos Toby Alderweireld a través de un lanzamiento de esquina, que contó con la colaboración de los “dedos de mantequilla” de Meslier y que evidenció otra vez los problemas que tienen los equipos de Bielsa en los balones detenidos.

El resultado fue inapelable y aumentó la brecha en el historial de Mourinho versus Marcelo Bielsa. Es más, el portugués ganó los cinco partidos en que se midieron con 18 goles a favor y apenas dos en contra.

Y no es por seguir abriendo la herida, pero otra capa de dolor para Bielsa en su temporada debut en la Premier League es que terminó la primera rueda del torneo sin poder ganar a ninguno de los Big Six de Inglaterra. Perdió con Liverpool (4-3), Manchester United (6-2), Chelsea (3-1) y Tottenham (3-0), mientras que empató con Manchester City (1-1) y Arsenal (0-0).
