Colorado's Altitude Giving Players Pause Before MLS All-Star Game

Denver, Colorado is 5,280 feet above sea level, and Tottenham Hotspur, along with most of the MLS All-Stars, won't be used to playing in those conditions.

"It's going to be a tough training session for us this afternoon and a tough game for us on Wednesday at this altitude, on top of the hotness" said Spurs midfielder Nabil Bentaleb.

"We had a gym session earlier, and it was quite tough," said forward Harry Kane. "We train this afternoon so we'll probably get a bit more used to it, being outside."

Kaka Named Captain Of The MLS All-Star Team

After a fan vote on Snapchat, Orlando City midfielder Kaka has been chosen as captain of the MLS All-Star team. 

Kaka, a former world player of the year, is tied for fourth in MLS with nine goals on the season and has two assists on the year. He was signed by Orlando City on a free transfer from AC Milan last Juy, but spent last season on loan at Sao Paulo because Orlando City didn't technically play in MLS yet.

More than 13,000 votes were cast to decide the captain.

Steven Gerrard Had A Dream League Debut For LA Galaxy

For the first half hour or so, it looked like San Jose was going to spoil the party for Steven Gerrard and the LA Galaxy.

But, led by Gerrard and Robbie Keane, the Galaxy rallied behind the former Liverpool teammates to erase a 2-0 defecit and eventually win 5-2.

Gerrard scored his first MLS goal, added an assist and drew a penalty. Robbie Keane scored a hat trick, including two penalties.

This was one of the more exciting designated player league debuts we've seen. Now, the question is ifl Gerrard's good form will continue.
