Manchester City saved its season in five minutes, 36 seconds. And Andrés Cantor showed why he’s one of the best announcers in the world.
Just when it looked like the impossible might happen, that Liverpool might usurp Man City on the final day against all odds, Pep Guardiola’s men turned things around faster than you can say “what the hell just happened?!”
Down by two, Manchester City scored three goals in 5.5 minutes to claim the Premier League title with a 3-2 win over Aston Villa on Sunday. The result kept City one point ahead of Liverpool, which itself came from behind to beat Wolves 3-1.
After the dust settled on a wild final day of the season, Manchester City lifted the Premier League trophy with 93 points, one head of Liverpool’s 92. Elsewhere, Tottenham routed pitiful Norwich 5-0 to ensure Champions League football despite Arsenal’s 5-1 win over hungover Everton, and Leeds United survived with a 2-1 win over Brentford thanks to Burnley’s 2-1 defeat to Newcastle.

In the end, Sunday ended like many expected it would. But what a roller coaster of emotions fans were taken on throughout 90 thrilling minutes to end the season.
City entered the final day with a one-point lead over the Reds, and both were heavy favorites to win. For more than an hour, though, it looked like things might be quite different.
Pedro Neto put Wolves up early. Aston Villa took a 2-0 lead. Liverpool couldn’t take the lead, and City was struggling.
Then five minutes and 36 seconds changed everything. And Cantor’s calls on Telemundo perfectly matched the emotions of the day.
İlkay Gündogan got things started with a back-post header.

With that, whatever happened at Anfield became moot. Liverpool did come back to win late, Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson scoring in the final six minutes to earn a 3-1 win. For a brief moment, Liverpool must’ve fans thought Aston Villa had equalized as cheers erupted from the stands, but City held on for the win to lift the trophy.
Now compare the above calls from Andrés Cantor to those of Arlo White and there is no comparison. (It doesn’t help that NBC’s audio is messed up, plus NBC didn’t even bother tweet out the highlight of Gündogan’s first.)

Arlo White is no Martin Tyler, who called Sergio Agüero’s incredible winner for Man City’s title in 2012.
But what a day it was for Manchester City. Liverpool fans had reason to hope for a miracle, but in the end it all finished how most expected it would.
Below are the full-match highlights from each of the title-deciding matches, from the Spanish-language broadcasts, of course.
