Trinity Rodman is on pace to become one of the next American stars at the international stage and an unbelievable stat for the USWNT in 2023 explains why.
Trinity Rodman is the only player to appear in all 18 USWNT matches in 2023; has historic goal contributions against China
The 21-year old is here to stay.
In the USWNT’s double-win against China in their last pair of international friendlies — with the absence of many of this last generation’s stars and leaders — players in the American team were served the opportunity to step up and begin making a name for themselves in the USWNT's 'new era'.
With the clear rebuild in the squad and the start of Emma Hayes as new USWNT manager, many young players in the squad seized the ‘fresh start' at the international level with some stand-out performances and Rodman was definitely one of them.
The Washington Spirit forward closed out the international break as one of the best players for the USWNT, being a constant participant of the team’s attacking presence, scoring and assisting along the way.
She scored and assisted twice in the USWNT’s first win over China last Saturday.

These three goal contributions turned the American into the second-youngest USWNT player in the last 15 years to ever do so for the national team.

After the second and last match against China on Tuesday, Rodman became the only USWNT player to have appeared in every single match for the USWNT in the calendar year. The 21-year-old played in all 18 games in 2023.

“In [Trinity Rodman’s] words, she’s got a different level of focus” said USWNT interim coach Twila Kilgore before their December matches.
“She’s been very intentional, we see that in training, we see that in games… she’s a very gifted, individual player” she added.
