Violence seemed to reign supreme this weekend. There were several fights as the European season fully kicked off on Friday, and Twitter had a field day with Manchester United.
Man United 0-4 Brentford
Following a demoralizing loss to Brighton during week one, Manchester United fans were desperate for a better result against Brentford. Instead, they were treated to another humiliating defeat, losing 4-0, all scored in the first half. Man United goalkeeper David de Gea had a nightmare outing, letting in a howler in the early stages to give the Bees the go-ahead.

Chelsea 2-2 Spurs
Spurs vs. Chelsea lived up to the hype, delivering one of the best matches of the season so far. While the game was marred by poor refereeing decisions, both sides provided attacking, entertaining soccer and ultimately drew 2-2. However, the moment that will live in infamy on Twitter was the fight that broke out at full time between Tottenham manager Antonio Conte and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.

Liverpool 1-1 Crystal Palace
In the final game of the Premier League weekend Liverpool was held to a draw once again by Crystal Palace, finishing 1-1 at full time. A major contribution to this was Liverpool’s new signing Darwin Núñez, seeing red after a headbutt on Joachim Anderson in the 57th minute.
