Be glad that you don't play for F.C. Grenchen.
The Swiss fourth division side has given up 66 goals this year and scored only 10. They haven't collected a point in their last nine games.
And it gets worse.
They just lost to F.C. Luzern's youth team — 10-0. That's right, they were dominated by a group of teenagers.
And it gets worse. F.C. Genchen cut all 11 players who started in the loss. Getting blown out like that by youths is hard to take, emotionally, one would imagine. Getting fired afterward is a whole different level of suck. Then again, it sounds like a whole different level of suck is kind of F.C. Grenchen's M.O.
One player described the cuts as a "character assassination."
"It sounds brutal, but these players are not good enough for this league. I am the head of sport and there to do something when [the club] is not running smoothly. I am one who talks less and does more,” Renato Brun, F.C. Grenchen's sporting director, told website AZ Solothurn (translated by the Guardian).
Curiously, the manager was not fired.
In any case, it sounds like F.C. Grenchen needs some new players to fill out the squad. I suggest these guys (shameless plug alert).
