Miguel Layun has impressed so far this year during his loan from Watford to Porto, so much that Porto have reportedly opened negotiations with Watford to acquire Layun on a permanent basis.

Layun is joined in Porto's first teams by fellow Mexicans Hector Herrera and Jesus Corona. He can play in central midfield as well as fullback, giving Porto needed versatility as they try to compete in Europe and in Portugal.

Miguel Layun At Porto
Porto are doing well both in the Portuguese Liga and the Champions League, and Layun has been a big part of that. It's no wonder Porto want to keep him. What is surprising is that Layun's buyout clause, reported to be in the neighborhood of €6 million, is so low. Porto must think they've found a diamond in the rough here, and we think they may be right.
