People make requests to superstars and brands on Twitter all the time. It usually comes in the formula of “how many retweets/likes for X brand to do Y?” This time around a man bet his wife that if Arsenal midfielder Mesut Özil replied to his tweet, they would name their new child Ozil.
@MesutOzil1088 wife is expecting in july she said if i can get you to reply i can name the kid Ozil, dont let me down pic.twitter.com/Hw9aMvnkGT

The Assist King sees everything. After four days, he saw the man’s tweet and, unlike his recent form with Arsenal, actually came through.
It's a deal mate I don't let you down. Now it's your turn. I want to see the birth certificate of your kid in July https://t.co/GgEjAmKjTu

The man who requested the reply on Twitter goes by Jack Robinson. Assuming this is his actual name, the new baby will have the name Ozil Robinson. Shockingly, the kid won’t be the only one with that name. In the U.S. alone there are three people named Ozil Robinson.
One thing is for certain, that kid will have a fun time explaining to all of the Davids, Roberts and Richards in the future why he's named Ozil. At least he isn’t the poor soul who got named Griezmann Mbappe after a French couple decided to ruin its newborn’s life before it even started.
As for Ozil Robinson, all that’s left is for Jack Robinson to show the receipt, aka the birth certificate bearing the name Ozil Robinson.
Meanwhile, in the life of footballer Özil, if he counts this latest act on Twitter as an assist then his total for the season is now at three. He will have the opportunity to make it four against Manchester City on Wednesday.
