Leicester City routed Manchester City 5-2 despite just 28 percent possession. It was a masterclass in frustrating the opposition and making the most of your opportunities going forward. Another heartwarming James Maddison celebration was also a masterclass in honoring those who inspire the footballers we watch every week.
In March of 2019, Leicester’s 23-year-old No. 10 honored a young girl who died from cancer at age 5. On Sunday, Maddison honored another cancer victim.

Maddison was paying homage to Stuart “Bertie” Birtwistle, a Leicester City team doctor/surgeon who died over the summer to cancer.
Maddison held up a T shirt commemorating Stuart “Bertie” Birtwistle the @LCFC doctor (& Leicester surgeon) who died this summer after a long fight with cancer. He was a lovely man.
