Former Chapecoense goalkeeper Jackson Follmann, one of three players to survive the LaMia Flight 2933 disaster, shared an Instagram video on Monday celebrating a remarkable milestone in his recovery process. Follmann had his right leg amputated because of the accident, but he’s now running again with the use of a prosthetic.
The Instagram post included the caption “An unparalleled moment in my recovery process, and a great start of the week. My first run on the pitch! Slowly, you will get very far. Thank you, Lord!”
According to mediotiempo, Follmann is training to represent Brazil in the Paralympic Games at Tokyo 2020.
On the pitch, Chapecoense have exceeded all expectations this season, and they're currently 11th in Brazil’s Serie A after 16 matches.
