Harry Kane, wearing the armband, sent England to the World Cup with a 94th minute winner against Slovenia Thursday.

It was an unforgettable moment in an otherwise forgettable game. Before Kane's goal, I was planning to write about how England started numbers 1-11. Now I am writing about Kane, who is very quickly writing his name into all sorts of Tottenham Hotspur and England legends.
Kane has been England's golden boy for a while, and it's a really nice feeling when you realize the golden boy is actually golden. The goal itself was nothing particularly special, but they all count the same. Harry Kane is really, really good, y'all. Now we just need the Three Lions to not be so boring for the regulation 90 minutes.
