Cuauhtemoc Blanco has not had a good April. The Club America and Mexico National Team legend, anc current Mayor of Cuernavaca, Mexico, was named by a man who shot and a prominent Mexican businessman as one of the people who ordered the assassination. Blanco, who so far has no discernable motive for the crime, says he is being framed by the governor of the Morelos state, who he is obviously not on good terms with.
Blanco has talked about running for governor in the future.
Ni me escondo, ni huyo de nada. Sigo trabajando por #Cuernavaca y haciéndole frente a las difamaciones en mi contra. https://t.co/NoFivFoiZC pic.twitter.com/658qUdiL1c

That's not a recipe for a good month. While all this was going on, Blanco disappeared for five days, showed back up at his office like nothing had happened and refused to talk to the media.
Despite calls for him to step down, Blanco has said he will remain mayor of Cuernavaca while the murder investigation takes place.
