Cristiano Ronaldo was less than pleased after Al Nassr lost 1-0 to Al-Ittihad on Thursday. The result saw Al-Ittihad leapfrog Al Nassr to go top of the Saudi Pro League table and left Ronaldo in a sour mood.
The home crowd for Al-Ittihad found a way to get under Ronaldo’s skin as they repeatedly chanted “Messi” at him. The chant worked to great effect as the Portuguese star was kept off the score sheet and visibly annoyed.
At one point Ronaldo could be seen making hand gestures to the Al-Ittihad fans expressing his displeasure with their chants.

After the game the fans hurled more “Messi” chants onto Ronaldo’s eardrums until he couldn’t take it anymore. A poor water bottle on the sideline was the victim of CR7’s wrath.

Judging from some of the highlights, it didn’t look like Ronaldo had a great game.

His 6.9 rating from FotMob backs that claim up.
If it makes Ronaldo feel any better, it’s not like Lionel Messi had a memorable week either. Messi and PSG failed to reach the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals for a second year in-a-row after losing to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Not a great week for the GOATs.
