A Clint Dempsey Nations League crossover is on the cards for viewers. The on-air talent team for the Concacaf Nations League dropped and has a plethora of familiar faces and former USMNT members.

Dempsey is by far the biggest surprise on the list. The USMNT’s all-time leading goal scorer only recently returned from a public hiatus when he appeared on “The Crack Podcast.” For the past couple of years, Dempsey has been residing in the woods of North Carolina living the simple life. Seeing and hearing the man again will be quite refreshing.
He won’t be doing any of the actual game calling. He will instead be part of the pre-, post- and half-time show alongside CBS' go-to host Kate Adbo and fellow former USMNT players Oguchi Onyewu and Charlie Davies. I’m sure Gooch is getting paid for this gig and isn’t trying to do it for free like he tried with AC Milan.
Onyewu and Dempsey already chatted on “The Crack Podcast,” so the chemistry should be decent between the group.
The announcer duos will comprise of two partnerships. Maurice Edu and and Andres Cordero will cover the USMNT’s semifinal against Honduras on June 3. Later that same day Marcelo Balboa and Adrian Garcia-Marquez will provide the voice for the Mexico vs. Costa Rica game.
Balboa will get the opportunity to prove his doubters wrong as not everyone was pleased that his voice will be coming through their speakers.
It’s all good buddy not everybody like me have a blessed day

As someone who has personally been in a booth with Balboa and his Colorado Rapids partner, Richard Fleming, during a game, I assure you there’s nothing to worry about.
