Young Leeds United fan Daniel Huton was not completely disappointed after sending a letter to Brighton asking to keep his new favorite player. Five-year-old Huton’s favorite is Benjamin White, who's currently on loan at Leeds and will go back to Brighton at the end of the season.
Huton raided his piggy bank, pulled out pen and paper and made his offer for the defender.
Thanks to young @LUFC fan Daniel who recently wrote to us regarding @ben6white.

The young boy didn’t get his exact wish but isn’t coming out of the deal empty-handed. Not only did White see the tweet and reach out to his biggest fan, Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani replied promising to persue the offer and that Huton is welcome to join the club.

In an interview with talkSPORT, White said that receiving messages of appreciation like the one from Huton is the best feeling. Some fans were quick to have a little jab, pretending that Leeds' director and lead of media Victor Orta is posing as the five-year-old so the defender stays at Leeds.

Huton will have to wait and see if his wish is fulfilled, just like the last kid who wrote to a Premier League club. In late February, 10-year-old Manchester United fan Daragh asked Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to stop winning games. Klopp replied and Daragh’s wish was more or less granted.
We this!

Clearly Brighton is the bad guy for not accepting Huton’s enormous $20 offer. To be fair, the Seagulls have been doing amazing work during the break. The club’s stadium has been converted to a drive-in COVID-19 testing site and is now fully operational.
