Qatar’s Akram Afif scored THREE penalty kicks in the AFC Asian Cup final on Saturday to guide the host country to a 3-1 victory vs. Jordan. Afif’s magic card trick celebration after his first penalty has gone viral.
This may be the most unique and coldest goal celebrations we’ve ever seen.
After burying the penalty, the Qatari star reached into his shin guard and pulled out a trading card of himself. Then with one quick movement and some sleight of hand Afif switched the card to reveal the letter “S”.

“S is the first letter of my wife’s name,” Afif said when asked about the celebration after the game. “It was her first time at the stadium.”
A lovely tribute from the 27-year-old forward.
He was lethal from the spot converting all three of his penalty kicks during the game.

The victory meant that Qatar had successfully defended their Asian Cup title they had won in 2019 and acted as a bit of redemption for their poor performances in the 2022 World Cup.
Qatar are the first team to win the Asian Cup in back-to-back tournaments since Japan did in 2000 and 2004.
