Gol Olímpico Incluido: Chofis López Hizo El Mejor Hat Trick En La Historia De La MLS

Hasta el día de hoy se han convertido 198 hat tricks en la historia de la MLS. Reconozco que no los he visto todos, pero tengo la certeza de que el que hizo anoche Javier Eduardo López es el mejor de todos.

Es cierto que el triplete de la Chofis terminó siendo en vano, debido a la derrota 3-4 del San Jose Earthquakes ante Real Salt Lake, sin embargo la calidad de cada una de las anotaciones no hay dudas de que cabe en la categoría de lo sublime.

El show del ex Chivas comenzó en el minuto 25 y significó la apertura de la cuenta. López capturó un pase largo por la banda derecha y de repente sacó un recorte al centro que anuló los esfuerzos de su marcador, Erik Holt. La acción le creó espacio suficiente como para sacar un misil y clavarlo en el ángulo que todos los arqueros odian.

Real Salt Lake logró revertir el golpe con conquistas de Rubio Rubin y Albert Rusnák, sin embargo, López no estaba listo para rendirse aún.

Fue así que a los 50', otra vez por la derecha, la Chofis se puso en modo Messi y comenzó a desparramar rivales hasta convertir el empate. 

La comparación con Messi a algunos les podrá parecer exagerada, pero realmente no hay otra forma de describir el momento. Sobre todo, aquel instante en que le quebró la cintura a Donny Toia, convirtiéndolo básicamente en el Jerome Boateng de la MLS.

El mexicano logró incluso poner al frente al San Jose Earthquakes con un magnífico gol olímpico. López sabe cómo ponerle veneno a sus tiros y en esta ocasión el arquero David Ochoa, quien recientemente dejó el USMNT para buscar una posibilidad en el Tri, no encontró el antídoto a tiempo.

En la celebración no faltó un estrecho abrazo con su técnico, Matías Almeyda, en una imagen que seguramente perfora el corazón de todos los Chivahermanos.

Lamentablemente para San Jose y la Chofis, Real Salt Lake reaccionó y hacia el final se robó los tres puntos con un gol de Justin Meram y otro de Rubio Rubin. 

Con el resultado, San Jose se queda en el undécimo puesto de la conferencia oeste con 27 puntos, a seis unidades de los puestos de clasificación a los playoffs. El próximo partido del club será de visita ante Austin FC, el sábado 18 de septiembre.
