Very soon, Carli Lloyd wil be able to add the title "published author" to her already impressive list of accolades.
Lloyd signed a book deal with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for her memoir, set to be released later in 2016.
The book is expected to cover Lloyd's soccer career, including the time she almost quit the sport entirely.
“Winning the World Cup with my teammates was one of the most thrilling moments I could imagine,” Lloyd was quoted as saying in a press release. “Getting there was a long journey, sometimes rewarding, sometimes challenging, but worth every moment of hard work and sacrifice… I think it will be a book that will inspire and motivate players, fans, coaches and anyone who wants to achieve their dreams.”
Should be a fun read.
