Liverpool Remains In Gerrard's Heart

Still adjusting to Steven Gerrard not wearing red? So is the legend himself.

He may be all the way across the Atlantic, but his roots to Liverpool stay strong. During his MLS debut against San Jose at home, Gerrard was pictured with his shin pads that had the Liverpool crest on them.

Liverpool fan or not, massive respect to the former Liverpool captain showing how loyalty in the sport should be displayed.

If he was allowed to wear a Liverpool undershirt, I’m sure he wouldn’t think twice to put it on.

Kaka Named Captain Of The MLS All-Star Team

After a fan vote on Snapchat, Orlando City midfielder Kaka has been chosen as captain of the MLS All-Star team.

Kaka, a former world player of the year, is tied for fourth in MLS with nine goals on the season and has two assists on the year. He was signed by Orlando City on a free transfer from AC Milan last Juy, but spent last season on loan at Sao Paulo because Orlando City didn't technically play in MLS yet.

More than 13,000 votes were cast to decide the captain.

Steven Gerrard Had A Dream League Debut For LA Galaxy

For the first half hour or so, it looked like San Jose was going to spoil the party for Steven Gerrard and the LA Galaxy.

But, led by Gerrard and Robbie Keane, the Galaxy rallied behind the former Liverpool teammates to erase a 2-0 defecit and eventually win 5-2.

Gerrard scored his first MLS goal, added an assist and drew a penalty. Robbie Keane scored a hat trick, including two penalties.

This was one of the more exciting designated player league debuts we've seen. Now, the question is ifl Gerrard's good form will continue.
