Anyone who knows anything about Ricardo Pepi knows how much his family means to him. When he left his hometown of El Paso, Texas, at the age of 13 to pursue his soccer dreams with FC Dallas, it was his family he missed the most.

“I love you all,” Ricardo told his father, according to a recent ESPN article. “But this is my dream and I’m going to stay. I’ll miss all of you.”

Light Show At Berlin’s Olympiastadion Reveals Euro 2024’s Foxy Logo

The decision to host Euro 2020 across multiple European cities brought some truly memorable moments in Copenhagen, Budapest and London, but let’s never do that again. There’s nothing like the staging of a month-long carnival in one country, so it works to maximize the confluence and mingling of fans from different nations as they converge on one shared home base. That's the best sort of party.

There’s Never Been A Better Time To Get Into ‘Ted Lasso’ Than Now

Believe it or not, there exists a population of humans who have never seen a single episode of “Ted Lasso.” If you belong to such a group, let me tell you now is the best time to get into Ted Lasso.

Korean Commentators Go Absolutely Wild Whenever Wolves’ Hwang Hee-chan Scores And It’s Amazing

If you haven’t had an opportunity to listen to the Hwang Hee-chan Korean commentary of his goals in the Premier League, then you’re in for a great time. If you’re here to listen to the commentators lose their minds again, I can’t blame you.

Hwang is on loan to Wolves from RB Leipzig this season and has now netted three Premier League goals in just four appearances. If he keeps up this scoring rate, then I’m worried his fellow countrymen in South Korea who do the commentary for games will surely lose their voices by December.

This Collaboration Between AC/DC And Scotland Goes As Hard As Hells Bells

There doesn’t seem to be much of a reason behind this collaboration between AC/DC and Umbro, but who needs one when the final products look like this.

According to the Umbro press release, the inspiration is an AC/DC show at the Glasgow Apollo on April 30, 1978. This was shortly before Scotland’s appearance at the 1978 World Cup in Argentina, and the band performed their encore wearing the Scotland ’78 jersey.

Freiburg Opens New Stadium After Impressive Start To Season

Whilst all the attention is on Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, Christian Streich's SC Freiburg has enjoyed an exceptional start to the 2021-22 season.

Freiburg bid farewell to its iconic longtime home, the Dreisamstadion, last weekend with a 3-0 victory over Augsburg. With views straight out of a movie scene, the old-school stadium has long been a haven for supporters, who have seen Germany's giants stumble and fall within its walls. Just this August, Dortmund was defeated 2-1 in Freiburg.

Afghan Girls’ Soccer Squad Dreams Big After Finding New Home In Portugal

LISBON - Leaving her homeland Afghanistan was painful, says 15-year-old Sarah. But now safely in Portugal, she hopes to pursue her dream of playing soccer professionally — and perhaps meeting her idol, star striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sarah was one of several players from Afghanistan's national female youth soccer squad who fled their country in fear after the Taliban hardline Islamist movement seized power in August. Portugal has granted asylum to the young footballers.
