The enthralling Chelsea-Liverpool match was nearing an end with the home side inching closer to an impressive win on Saturday at Stamford Bridge. Then the Daniel Sturridge goal vs. Chelsea happened and the world exploded. Or, at the very least, the internet exploded.

Surely the Glazers are asking themselves this very question as they’ve now watched Manchester United stoop to its joint worst ever start to a Premier League season just days after losing to a Championship side in the League Cup.
Chelsea vs. Liverpool was already the biggest match of the weekend in England (perhaps all of Europe outside of Madrid). But after Wednesday’s clash between Eden Hazard and Jordan Henderson, we cannot wait to see the Blues and Reds go at it again on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool is the lone club with a perfect record in Premier League play, boasting six wins from six. Chelsea (along with Manchester City) is right behind with five wins and a draw. That in itself makes Chelsea vs. Liverpool one of the biggest September clashes in recent memory.
Regardless of your politics, what has transpired this week in Washington, D.C., has been nothing short of unprecedented. Multiple allegations of a Supreme Court justice nominee committing sexual assault have enraged everyone all along the political spectrum.

They drew with Wolves on Saturday. They lost to Derby in the League Cup yesterday, getting knocked out in the third round for the first time since 2007.

Daniel Sturridge somehow missed a tap-in with an open net moments into the second half of Liverpool’s League Cup match with Chelsea. Less than 15 minutes later, he was celebrating a brilliant goal to put the Reds in front at Anfield.
But the Sturridge goal vs Chelsea was for naught, as the Blues rallied late for a 2-1 win.
