Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez continues to surprise. The CONCACAF 2015 Player of the Year continues to shine in Europe, scoring a brace for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga against Hannover Saturday.

The former super-sub turned super-starter at the German club is in great form, scoring his 13th goal in the league out of 16 appearances, demonstrating his importance to the German club and highlighting the reason why big clubs are looking to sign him during the winter transfer window. 

Javier Hernandez has been linked with Liverpool lately, and it isn't exactly hard to see why. Chicharito has been in magnificent form this season, scoring 21 goals in 24 games in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen. A player of his skill set could be exactly what Jurgen Klopp needs. The German's team has played some good football at times, but a lack of clinical finishing (and some suspect defending) has seen them fail to make any headway in the Premier League table.

Scoring goals is Chicharito's business, and business is most definitely good. Fans flocked to see Brazilian side Internacional take on Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez’s Bayer Leverkusen in the Flordia Cup this past week. Chicharito duly provided the spectacle they’d been hoping for with a brace and a stunning volley that unluckily crashed off the crossbar.

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez is having a career year since leaving Manchester United/Real Madrid for Bayer Leverkusen. The Mexican striker has 19 goals in 22 games so far this season, and has been named the Bundesliga player of the month twice, in November and December.

Bayer Leverkusen are in Florida right now during the Bundesliga's winter break (it gets a little too cold for soccer right around now in Germany) for a friendly tournament called the Florida Cup and, unsurprisingly, Leverkusen striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez is attracting a lot of attention from fans.

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez had a month to remember in November for Bayer Leverkusen, as he was named Bundesliga Player of the Month. He had another one in December, as he was named Bundesliga Player of the Month again.

As the boos rang around Old Trafford Saturday afternoon following a 2-1 defeat to newly promoted Norwich City, Manchester United’s transformation from functional dullards to dismal incompetents was complete. Louis van Gaal’s pedestrian, monochromatic football has been painful on the eye all season long, but at least it had previously brought results.

What can you say about the little pea that hasn't already been said? Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez scored his 17th goal in his last 14 games — he has 19 total this season — to give Bayer Leverkusen a 1-0 win over FC Ingolstadt 04 Saturday.

And it was a beauty. Hernandez timed his run perfectly and finished cleanly, two talents that he has shown throughout his career.
