A Zlatan movie is finally coming, according to Screen International. The movie, based on Zlatan's autobiography I am Zlatan (one of the best athlete memoirs ever written), will be produced by David Lagercrantz, who co-wrote I am Zlatan.
One of the funniest things to happen in the aftermath of I am Zlatan's release was Lagercrantz admitting he basically made the whole thing up (he is a novelist, after all). The good news about that is the movie will probably be AWESOME. I hope Michael Bay directs.
The movie Zlatan should be just as outrageous as the real-life Zlatan, so I fully expect car crashes, fights, crimes, banter and just enough of a coming-of-age hard-knock-life story to make me feel like an intellectual for watching it.
One thing is guaranteed: there will be lots and lots of Zlatan. So much Zlatan. There might have to be a sequel. Hell, make it into a big nine-part thing like the Fast and the Furious movies.
They should just show this in theatres:
I cannot wait to see this movie. This might end up the funniest biopic of all time. Long Live Zlatan. Long live the Zlatan movie.
