So Germany is weird. But it may have just outdone itself with the Bundesliga's newest venture, the "BunDucksliga."
The BunDucksliga is a rubber duck race, with each of the teams being represented by a duck, except for Werder Bremen, who get a frog for whatever reason.
The qualifying rounds have taken place, with the top six ducks advancing to the final. The video, which is hosted by a "commentator duck" named Jon Hartley (you cannot make this stuff up), shows the ducks going in circles in a pool. Good stuff.
Borussia Dortmund won the first heat. Borussia Monchengladbach finished second. Mainz and Bayern Munich qualified in the second heat. Werder Bremen (with their frog) and Hertha Berlin went through from the third heat.
It's worth noting here that we still have no idea what the point of the BunDucksliga is. The only conclusion we could come to that made any sense was that they must just have really good drugs in Germany. Stay tuned for the results from the final, which we will publish when they become available.
