The USWNT booked passage to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup with an imperious 6-0 victory over Jamaica on Sunday night, and setup a much-anticipated CONCACAF Women’s Championship final against Canada in the process.
With automatic qualification hanging in the balance, the U.S. raced out to a 5-0 lead by the 33rd minute, and it would be ridiculous to single out an individual for praise in the face of such overall team excellence.
Jamaica understandably set out to frustrate the U.S. with a deep defensive block, but every touch, every pass and every move from the Americans was a showcase of their standing as the defending world champions.
Here are all five goals — two from Tobin Heath and more from Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan and Julie Ertz. The second, scored by Rapinoe and assisted by Abby Dahlkmeper, was probably the pick of the bunch, but each was crafted by some sensational team play.
So, that didn't take long.

In the second half, Morgan slotted home from the penalty spot to give the U.S. the 6-0 win.
Both Canada and the U.S. have now secured passage to France, but the final of the tournament — Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco — promises to be sensational with the way that both Canada and the U.S. have played so far.
