The USMNT get a favorable draw
U.S. fans should overall be pleased with their team’s group stage opponents. The USMNT should be favorites against the likes of fellow Concacaf member Panama and one of CONMEBOL’s weakest teams, Bolivia.
Uruguay will provide an excellent early test for USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter and his side. The South American powerhouse featuring the likes of Liverpool star Darwin Núñez and Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde look to be one of the favorites going into the tournament.
High profile Argentine head coach Marcelo Bielsa took charge of the Uruguay national team in May 2023 and has transformed them into one of the hottest CONMEBOL teams.
The schedule is important to note as the game against Uruguay will be the group stage finale. If the USMNT are not able to get positive results against Bolivia and Panama, then they will face a steep task in the final group stage game.
