However, it’s often in the lower leagues that match fixing is most prevalent and able to fly under the radar. A friendly between Romanian side Astra Giurgiu and Poland’s Pogon Szczecin must’ve looked like the perfect scenario to not-so-subtly influence the outcome of the match for this official. It’s only a friendly and nobody really cares, right?
