Raul Jimenez is sometimes lost in the shuffle, with the likes of Chicharito, Miguel Layun and Tecatito Corona blowing up Europe these days.
Heck, even Carlos Vela gets more press than Jimenez, but that might be due to the "will he ever reach his full potential?" factor.
That fact is, Raul Jimenez is pretty dang good. He's been effective for Benfica pretty much whenever he's played. Tuesday, he came in off the bench in Benfica's Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid (Benfica went through anyway) and got himself a class assist.

Jimenez has played well for Benfica in the Champions League but has yet to find his form domestically, with only one goal in the league.
Jimenez joined Benfica this year from the team he assisted against, Atletico Madrid. Before Madrid, he was a standout in Liga MX for Club America. He has three goals so far this year for Benfica, including two in the Champions League.
In addition to qualifying for the Champions League knockout stage, Benfica sit third in the Permeira Liga, eight points behind leaders Sporting CP and six points behind Porto.
If Jimenez can turn in a few more performances like this, he may not be overlooked for long. He'll at least have two more chances in the Champions League round of 16.
