Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League table on Sunday morning with a convincing 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace, heaping the pressure on Liverpool ahead of its colossal clash against Chelsea at Anfield later in the day.
That pressure built after Chelsea kept Liverpool off the scoresheet in the first half despite decent opportunities for the misfiring Mohamed Salah and the in-form Sadio Mané, and the Blues posed their own menace on the counter through Eden Hazard and Willian.
The second half whistle promised compelling entertainment of the highest order, and Liverpool quickly delivered in the 51st minute when Jordan Henderson provided a fantastic clipped cross for Mané to head home at the far post.

The goal was Mané’s 18th of the season and his sixth in seven PL games.
But just two minutes after that, the previously mentioned “misfiring” Salah scored one of the goals of the season. Given its importance to this match and Liverpool’s title ambitions, it could turn into a legendary strike.
