Beginning on Friday, June 12, with the opening match between Italy and Turkey in Rome and concluding on Sunday, July 12, with the final in London, all 51 matches of UEFA Euro 2020 will be aired live across ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC while also being streamed on both the ESPN and ABC apps.
Matches being broadcast on ABC means that the European Championship is returning to network television for the first time since 2008. Five matches will air on the channel: two group stage games (Belgium vs. Russia and Spain vs. Poland), two Round of 16 encounters and one quarterfinal. 39 matches will be televised on ESPN and seven will air on ESPN2.
Euro 2020 marks the second edition of the tournament in its expanded format of 24 competing nations. To celebrate the 60th birthday of the competition, the tournament will be held in 12 cities in 12 European countries. The semifinals and final will be hosted at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
As well as over 140 hours of live game coverage, ESPN promises a 30-minute pregame before every match, as well as halftime and postgame reaction. Following the final match of each day, EURO Tonight will air and provide analysis/reaction to the day’s games.
