Andrea Pirlo is a man of many talents. The Italian New York City FC midfielder can put a soccer ball wherever he wants. He always knows where the other team's free kicks are going. He has won the Champions League, the 2006 World Cup (he was man of the match in the final), and Serie A Player of the Year (three times).
He is...the most interesting man in the world.
Pirlo dresses impeccably, owns a vineyard and has one of the most perfectly trimmed beards in existence. He also has talents we wouldn't expect of a suit-wearing, wine-swirling Italian sophisticate.
Apparently he's really good at video games.
From a FIFA.com article about Frank Lampard:
While equals on the pitch, things become a little more hierarchical with the Italian off of it. “Pirlo wins. Unfortunately Pirlo always wins,” says Lampard laughing, when asked how a game of FIFA 16 with the former Juventus man ends.
Wow. didn't see that one coming. The article sayd Pirlo is so into FIFA he played the day of the 2006 World Cup final. We've been over how that ended up.
How does Pirlo spend his free time when he isn't playing FIFA? Hanging out with diplomats at the United Nations, of course.
Figures. We want to be Andrea Pirlo's best friend.
