Milan manager Stefano Pioli made the interesting decision to substitute Pulisic in the 66th minute right after his side’s 2-0 lead had been cut in half.
Pulisic had failed to control the ball with his chest which Verona’s Tijjani Noslinn took full advantage of and smashed into the net. Pulisic was visibly frustrated and was seen hitting the roof of the dugout after coming out.

USMNT fans won’t complain too much about Pulisic getting pulled early from the game. Recent injuries to Josh Sargent and Luca de la Torre will have USMNT supporters hoping no one else goes down with any injuries before the international break.
Milan held on for the victory with Pulisic’s usual replacement Samuel Chukwueze scoring with a spectacular effort.
