Some weird stuff goes down in Russia. And this latest news is no exception.
Russian super fans of Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Moscow partake in a tradition unlike any other - and no we’re not talking about a Russian Masters. The two groups of fans meet before their teams play and fight for three minutes. The location is set on a completely abandoned snowy road.
But there are rules in this clash of Russian football Hooliganism. Each side can have 38 people and no weapons are allowed. Once one side is completely bloodied, the fight ends and the victors help up their counter parts. They even shake hands.
The beginning of the video is like a scene out of Greenstreet Hooligans. Once the clash begins, pretty much anything goes. You see flying kicks, people kicking each other while they’re on the ground, and repeated shots to the heads of fallen fighters.
A fighter interviewed said, "We fight before every game between Spartak and Dynamo, we support our teams. This was not a very serious fight, next time we will fight until we are even more bloody.” I guess that's just the way things go in Russia. As is tradition.
