Jürgen Klopp Addresses Future After Reports He Could Quit Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp on Monday shot down speculation that he could leave the Premier League champions amid a dismal run of form and said he was determined to turn around their flagging fortunes.

Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Leicester City left Liverpool in fourth, 13 points behind leaders Manchester City having played a game more, and led to rumors that Klopp could walk away from the club.

Fans showed their support for the 53-year-old German by unfurling a 'Jürgen Klopp YNWA (You'll Never Walk Alone)' banner outside Anfield.

The Soccer Stars That Didn’t Get A Team In The Winter Market

The first day of February was the closing day of the transfer window in Europe. Due to the worldwide pandemic of the coronavirus that strongly affects the economy of the clubs, the market was more austere than other years. Among many stories produced, one revolves around the outstanding soccer players who finished their contracts with their clubs and did not sign again, remaining free agents.

The18 has compiled a list of who they are and what their respective situations are with a view to a 2021 that is already underway.

The18's 5-Minute Winter Transfer Window Round-Up

According to Transfermarkt, 11,148 transfers were officially made between January 1 and February 1, with the transfer fees totalling a little over $600 million.

While significantly less than the 18,488 transfers worth $1.6 billion that occurred last January, it's still a lot to take in.

But we've made it easy for you.

Here's The18's five-minute guide to the most important transfers of this year's winter window:

Neymar Commits His Future To PSG After Newcastle’s Steve Bruce Admits Interest

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar said he wants to remain at the Ligue 1 champions and hopes Kylian Mbappé will also pledge his future to the club.

Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona in 2017 for a world record fee of $269.26 million but Spanish media have frequently linked the 28-year-old with a switch back to the Catalan side.

Mbappé has 18 months remaining on his contract in Paris and new manager Mauricio Pochettino has played down reports the French forward could be on the move to Real Madrid.

Liverpool, In Dire Need Of Defenders, Looking At New York Red Bulls' Aaron Long

Liverpool supporters would have found themselves sighing in exasperation when Joel Matip came off injured at halftime against Tottenham on Thursday.

There is a genuine argument to be made that, when fit, Matip is a top-five center back in the league. Much to the chagrin of Reds everywhere, the Cameroonian international is seldom fit for more than a few games at a time. He was substituted at halftime against Fulham due to injury, subsequently missing out against last month's game against Spurs, before returning against Crystal Palace.

Project Mbappé: Real Madrid Wants To Offload 6 Players To Make Room For The PSG Star

One of the most fascinating storylines in Europe right now is the direction of Paris Saint-Germain under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. If it all goes well, PSG could be looking at a Champions League title and a potential Kylian Mbappé contract extension. If Pochettino and his charges don’t see eye-to-eye, that will only expedite Mbappé’s long-rumored move to Real Madrid (“Project Mbappé”), Liverpool or Manchester City.
