Messi's life was turned into a Cirque du Soleil show. It's back to celebrate his World Cup win.

BUENOS AIRES – A Cirque du Soleil production inspired by the life and career of Argentine soccer legend Lionel Messi, will be staged in Buenos Aires in October, where Argentina's World Cup glory in Qatar still lives strong. 

The performance titled 'Messi10', after his favored jersey number, showcases the rise of the striker from his early childhood in Rosario to his iconic moment as world champion. 

USMNT goalkeeper Matt Turner nearing permanent transfer to Nottingham Forest

No. 1 United States men’s national team goalkeeper Matt Turner could finally get his wish of starting in the Premier League as he nears a transfer to Nottingham Forest.

Turner, 29, made just seven appearances for Arsenal last season after around a $6 million transfer to the Gunners from the New England Revolution last summer.

None of those seven appearances were in the Premier League.

Italian goalkeeper and legend Gianluigi Buffon announces he's hanging up the gloves

Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has retired from football, the 45-year-old announced on Wednesday, after 28 years in which he reached exceptional milestones for club and country.

Buffon, who in 2006 lifted the World Cup, won 10 Serie A titles with Juventus and a Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain.

"That's all folks! You gave me everything. I gave you everything. We did it together," Buffon said in a statement.

Aston Villa among several EPL clubs interested in signing Tyler Adams per reports

United States men’s national team defensive midfielder and World Cup captain Tyler Adams could be headed to Aston Villa per the Daily Mail.

According to the British outlet, Villa are prepared to activate Adams’ $31.8 million release clause to bring him in.

The BBC has issued an apology after one of the network's reporters asked Morocco’s captain Ghizlane Chebbak a ridiculous question during a Women’s World Cup press conference.
