Real Madrid is stuck in a sticky spot after they let longtime goalkeeper Iker Casillas go on to Porto after 25 years with the club. To replace him Real Madrid is looking to make a deal for Manchester United keeper David De Gea, but it looks like the Red Devils won’t be willing to let him go without Sergio Ramos in exchange.

A solemn farewell to Casillas leaves backup keeper Jesus Navas, who is also Costa Rica’s first choice keeper. He had a great World Cup, but had a dismal first season for Real Madrid.

It’s been a tumultuous few months for Javier Hernandez. At the turn of the year, Chicharito was on bench-warming duties at the Santiago Bernabau, seemingly unwanted by both his new employers in the Spanish capital as well as his paymasters back in Manchester.

In an interview with Spanish newspaper Diario AS, Iker Casillas's agent, Santos Marquez, made Real Madrid President Florentino Perez out to be an insane person.

Marquez, obviously, was not too thrilled about how his client's departure from Real Madrid went down.

Since 2003 Real Madrid and Manchester United have swapped six players between each other. The total value of those transfers? 167 million pounds.

The first of these incredible splurges? Fittingly a big one for passionate fans of United: David Beckham.

The status of David De Gea’s future at United is still up in the air, and Louis van Gaal is in a difficult posisiotn because of it. Previously, former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes, who has played second fiddle to De Gea, was expected to take over should his compatriot leave for Spain. However, Valdes and van Gaal have butted heads and the keeper's place on the team seems to be all but gone. 

Multiple reports today have Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke transfering to Liverpool.

The transfer window is far from being closed, and the trades are going strong in the Premier League with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool already spending upwards of £100 million. Yet, title holders Chelsea have not made any big headlines in recent weeks regarding transfers.
