The city that gave the world pilsner beer is giving us one more wonderful treat. This week Viktoria Plzen unveiled its new players’ bench shaped like a can of pilsner.

Plzen, located in the Czech Republic, gives its name to the type of beer known as pilsner. It is home to two of the most popular breweries in the country: Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus. It is the latter that is immortalized on the bench of Viktoria Plzen.
The bench comes with a surprising amount of detail, making use of two tons of metal and 300 square meters of aluminum. It even features a pull tab on the top of the can.
Comfort is also part of the design, with “state-of-the-art leather seats” for maximum comfort, the club’s website states. The seats are even heated so players’ bums don’t freeze during the cold months of the season.
Plzen is just about to begin its league season and is currently in the third round of Champions League qualifying. After a 2-2 draw in Bucarest, Steaua Bucuresti will get to see the can bench first hand on August 2.
