The biggest event on the USWNT’s calendar in 2022 is the Concacaf W Championship in July, which serves as qualifying for the 2023 Women’s World Cup and 2024 Olympics. To prepare for the tournament in Monterrey, Mexico, the U.S. women are heading for the mountains.

Ukraine's delayed World Cup qualification playoff semifinal against Scotland has been rearranged for June 1, with the winners facing Wales four days later for a place at this year's tournament, FIFA and UEFA said in a statement on Thursday.
The match was due to be played at Hampden Park in Glasgow on March 24 but Ukraine's Football Association asked FIFA to postpone the qualifier following Russia's invasion, which Moscow calls a "special operation."

For the first time since 1994, the World Cup is back in North America. Sixteen cities — 11 in the United States, three in Mexico and two in Canada — will be holding matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The host sites for 2026 World Cup games will be finalized in the first half of 2022, and, to no one's surprise, the games being contested in the United States will be played at rather large football stadiums.
