Video of an Ole Miss LSU soccer fight during the first round of the women’s SEC Tournament went viral on social media over the weekend. On Sunday, No. 10 seed Ole Miss defeated No. 7 seed LSU 3-0 in a penalty shootout to advance to the quarterfinals.

The game saw three red cards with all three being handed out in the second overtime period. With less than seven minutes to go LSU senior defender Maya Gordon and Ole Miss junior forward Ramsey Davis clashed near the sideline.

Coach Vlatko Andonovski announced the 24-team roster on Monday for two upcoming friendlies against Germany with Morgan listed as one of the team's seven forwards.

The Portland Thorns defeated the KC Current 2-0 in front of 17,624 fans at Audi Field in the nation’s capital on Saturday to win the club’s third NWSL Championship. Sophia Smith, the National Women’s Soccer League MVP, led her team to victory scoring the first and being involved in the second.

It was a momentous game for the league as the Championship game was CBS showed the game on national television during primetime for the first time in history.

Sophia Smith becomes youngest ever NWSL MVP

Portland Thorns striker Sophia Smith was named the National Women's Soccer League's (NWSL) Most Valuable Player on Thursday, becoming the youngest to earn the regular-season honor days before their championship match against Kansas City.

The 22-year-old scored a club record 14 goals in 18 appearances, the second highest tally this season behind San Diego Wave forward Alex Morgan (16), and three assists to help the Thorns to a second consecutive postseason appearance.

Chelsea's Sam Kerr scores left-footer, right-footer and header in 4-goal UWCL game

After failing to advance beyond the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage last season, Chelsea made it two wins from two to start the 2022-23 campaign by hammering Albania's Vllaznia 8-0 at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday night.

With Real Madrid and PSG drawing 0-0 in the day's other match from Group A, Chelsea went top with six points followed by Real with four, PSG with one and Vllaznia on zero.

Chelsea's Woman of the Match was striker Sam Kerr with a four-goal haul. Pernille Harder also recorded a hat-trick and Kateřina Svitková got one for the Blues.
