How To Watch The U.S. And México In The Women's U-20 World Cup?

We all know you can't wait until the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but while you wait, you should know that it is not the only FIFA WC being played this year. In fact, this Wednesday, Aug. 10, we will be witnesses to a new big-stage tournament: the Women's U-20 World Cup.

Yep. New stars, new dreams and all that is happening inside the Concacaf neighborhood. Costa Rica hosts the event, while another three teams from the region – Canada, Mexico and United States – are among the 16 countries seeking the glory.

England Surges Up Latest FIFA Rankings, But WTF Is North Korea Still Doing In The Top 10?

The latest women’s FIFA rankings were released on Friday and, to no one’s surprise, the USWNT remains No. 1. The last time the Americans fell out of the top spot was for a few months in 2017. England and Germany surged up the Top 10, but coming in at No. 10 is yet another baffling appearance from a team that hasn’t played in three years.

The Top 9 of the women’s FIFA rankings include all the usual suspects: USA, Germany, Sweden, England, France, Netherlands, Canada, Spain and Brazil, respectively.

England’s Brandi Chastain Moment? Not Quite — Chloe Kelly Reveals Alternate Inspiration

A record crowd cheering on the home nation at an iconic stadium on a steamy summer day. A dramatic winning strike followed by a ripped off jersey revealing a Nike sports bra. Take your pick: Brandi Chastain after winning the 1999 Women’s World Cup or the Chloe Kelly celebration after lifting England to its first European championship.

England finally had its Brandi Chastain moment, though it turns out Kelly’s celebration wasn’t an homage to the USWNT star but to a man with two England caps to his name.

NWSL Players Fought Hard For In-Season Vacation — They’re Vacationing Even Harder

When the NWSL players and league agreed to a landmark first-ever Collective Bargaining Agreement in February, most of the focus was on guaranteeing players a living wage, and for good reason. But among the other benefits NWSL players carved out for themselves was a mandatory seven-day break in the middle of the season — an NWSL summer vacation.

USWNT Avenges Olympics Defeat, Qualifies For Next Olympics With One Alex Morgan Kick

The U.S. women’s national team is heading back to the Olympics thanks to a bit of revenge on the team that knocked it out of the last Olympics less than a year ago.

Alex Morgan converted a 78th-minute penalty kick to finally break through against Canada for a 1-0 win in the Concacaf W Championship final on Monday in Monterrey. Neither team had given up a goal all tournament, and Morgan buried the winner against her club teammate Kailen Sheridan, who was marvelous on Monday to keep the U.S. off the scoreboard from open play.
