The 16 host cities were selected with six locations not getting chosen. Here were the reactions to cities learning they were going to be hosts or if they got snubbed.

The reactions from watch parties at cities learning they got the gig are full of excitement, but watching the cities learn they won’t get to host is just as interesting to watch.

Remembering USMNT Victory Over Mexico In The 2002 WC: The Most Famous Dos A Cero Turns 20

It is one of the sweetest victories in USMNT history and one of the most painful for El Tri. Today, June 17, the most celebrated Dos a Cero victory of the United States over Mexico turns 20 years old.

The game for the round of 16 at the 2002 World Cup was the first and only time both national teams have faced each other on soccer's biggest stage. And since then, the scoreboard has become the favorite rallying cry among the U.S. fans against Mexico.

FIFA President, Clearly Delusional, Says Soccer Will Be No. 1 Sport In America By 2026

NEW YORK — North America's historical ambivalence to soccer is no match for the spectacle of the 2026 World Cup, FIFA president Gianni Infantino said on Thursday, as he bids to make the world's "beautiful game" the preeminent sport in the region as well.

NEW YORK — Los Angeles, Toronto and Mexico City have been named among the host cities for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, marking the first time the tournament will be shared by three different countries.

Wright featured in the first half of Tuesday’s mud-fest against El Salvador and after the game USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter said he wasn’t pleased with what he saw.

Remembering John Brooks’ Greatest USMNT Moment 8 Years Later; Can He Make It To Qatar?

The look of surprise, nay, disbelief, is what I remember most. A towering 6-4 frame had just headed in his first career international goal, and it couldn’t have come at a more important moment. On the eighth anniversary of his goal against Ghana, we have to wonder if John Brooks will ever get another chance on the world stage.

Away From Home Woes Continue For USMNT

Those who tuned in to the USMNT match against El Salvador last night expecting to see a soccer game may not have been able to recognize the final product on the pitch. U.S. Coach Gregg Berhalter previously stated his intention to use the game to evaluate players on the fringes of making the World Cup roster, but the conditions made that task a virtually impossible one.

USMNT Player Ratings vs. El Salvador (Based Entirely On How Muddy They Got)

I do not envy the USMNT kit person on Tuesday night. Let’s hope they brought plenty of stain remover.

Jordan Morris scored a 91st minute header as the USMNT salvaged a 1-1 draw with El Salvador in the Concacaf Nations League on Tuesday night at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador. A bigger story than the result was the mess of a field the match was played on, with rain turning an already poor pitch into a cow pasture by the end of the night.

USMNT Takes On El Salvador Tuesday Night — Here Are Three Reasons We Care

Concacaf Nations League play resumes Tuesday night, with the U.S. men’s national team set to continue its title defense against El Salvador at the Estadio Cuscátlan in San Salvador. While El Salvador vs USMNT might not have the makings of a historic game on paper, for a large chunk of this roster there is still plenty to play for.
