Brenden Aaronson had a stand-out performance in Union Berlin’s Bundesliga win over Werder Bremen this Saturday, making a statement to his surprise absence from the USMNT.

The American scored a wonderful goal, making this his second goal of the season and his second in the last five matches. One-two at the edge of the box and a bullet strike in the upper-90 to double the home side's lead.

Incoming USWNT head coach Emma Hayes says players on the same team shouldn’t date

Player-to-player relationships within the same squad are inappropriate and can lead to significant challenges for managers, Chelsea coach Emma Hayes said.

Reports in British media this week said Leicester coach Willie Kirk is under investigation by the club amid allegations of a player-coach relationship.

Asked about the need to safeguard players, Hayes told reporters: "Player-coach relationships - they're inappropriate, player-to-player relationships are inappropriate."

The USWNT have dropped to their lowest-ever position in the official FIFA rankings following their participation and win in the Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup.

The 23-player roster for the United States men’s national team’s upcoming games in the Concacaf Nations League was revealed on Wednesday. The roster had several surprises including the return of Tyler Adams and Josh Sargent.

Gregg Berhalter appeared on CBS’s pregame coverage of the UEFA Champions League and took questions from Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards about the squad he selected.

“This was the hardest roster we’ve ever had to pick based on the players in form,” Berhalter said.
