“So what Erling Haaland scored 62 goals in 67 Bundesliga games? Wait until he’s in the Premier League!” is what the doubters said. They didn’t believe his goal scoring tally would continue in the mighty EPL. Oh, how wrong they were.

Manchester City defeated Nottingham Forest 6-0 on Wednesday. Haaland scored a perfect hat trick in the first half, his second hat trick in the City’s last two games.

A youth soccer match at the Graham County Fairgrounds in Safford, Arizona, ended with deputies being called to the scene after multiple reports of a parent tackling the referee before his 17-year-old son threatened the official with gun violence. 

According to witnesses, the referee was separating two players who were fighting on the field when the suspect, identified as Michael W. Goodwin, told the ref not to touch his son and tackled him.

Bournemouth’s sacking of Scott Parker has many scratching their heads, and for good reason. Parker helped his side earn promotion back up to the Premier League, with very little investment and without the glitz and glamor of many other sides in England’s top flight. Often this tremendous feat would be rewarded with some considerable amount of faith, and yet Parker is out of a job just four games into the Cherries’ return to the first division.

Already the ugliest World Cup on every conceivable grounds, it seems like Puma has elected to pay homage to that fact with a horrendous new collection of away kits for its stable of competitors in Qatar — Switzerland, Uruguay, Senegal, Serbia, Ghana and Morocco.   

I feel bad for Switzerland. Here they are, qualifying for major tournament after major tournament with a population the size of Virginia, doing things like eliminating France at Euro 2020, and Puma does something like this to them. It's completely uncalled for.
