USWNT U-20s Crash Out Of World Cup With Worst Tournament Performance In Team History

The USWNT U-20s were bounced out of 2022 U-20 Women’s World Cup in the group stage on Wednesday after suffering a 3-1 defeat to reigning champions Japan in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The U.S. finished the group stage with one victory and two losses, the team’s worst showing in the 10 editions of the tournament.

The Americans finished third in Group D ahead of Ghana but behind Japan and the Netherlands. The U.S. opened the tournament with a 3-0 victory vs. Ghana but then followed that game with a 3-0 defeat to the Dutch.

Everton’s Godfrey Suffers Needless Horror Injury After Referees Fail To See The Ball Clearly Went Out

Chelsea defeated Everton 1-0 in the Blues' Premier League opener, however a horrifying Ben Godfrey injury early in the first half dampened the mood in Goodison Park.

In the 18th minute of the game Godfrey had to be stretchered off the field, put on oxygen and taken to the hospital after a terrifying injury to his right ankle while trying to make a tackle on Kai Havertz.

Fans are furious at the linesman for not seeing that the ball had clearly gone out of play moments before the injury.

Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 in the opening match of the Premier League season on Friday. As the match began, a plane carrying a large banner flew over the stadium, calling for rapists to be kicked off the pitch.

Former United States goalkeeper Hope Solo pleaded guilty to driving while impaired on Monday and said that she is "slowly coming back" after receiving care at an in-patient alcohol treatment program following her arrest in late March.

Solo was found passed out behind the wheel of her car in a parking lot in North Carolina on March 31 and charged with impaired driving, resisting arrest and misdemeanor child abuse. Her two children were in the car at the time of the arrest.

Tiémoué Bakayoko is going viral for all the wrong reasons. 

The AC Milan player — on loan from Chelsea — was recently held at gunpoint by police in Milan. After video of the incident became public, the police said they were completely justified in the treatment of the professional footballer.

Bakayoko, a 27-year-old French international, was thrown up against a police car and searched by officers who had guns drawn.
