League Tribunal Decides Racism Acceptable In Serie A

Once again Serie A has shown the world it doesn’t give any fucks about racism in its league.

Shortly before Inter Milan began its 2019-20 Champions League campaign against Slavia Prague on Tuesday, Serie A ruled clubs were free to racially abuse one of the Nerazzurri’s star players.

Racism in Italian football is rampant. Incidents in the last year have highlighted how little Serie A and the Italian FA are doing to curb racist chants toward black players. Now, Curva Nord, an Inter Milan ultras group, is defending the right of Cagliari fans to racially abuse Inter players.

This is the world in which we live.

Humanity should not expect progress to be expeditious or even linear. But when racist chants are commonplace in Italian soccer stadiums, the world takes notice.

Lukaku Headed To Open Arms Of Antonio Conte

It took a few attempts to find the right price, but Manchester United finally accepted a $85 million bid for Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, per the Guardian.

United was trying to work up the price to $97 million but feels it received enough (with the previous bid being $77.7 million) with additional add-ons to be disclosed later.
